Feeling tame in green Ann Taylor top and beige skirt!

Ann Taylor Lattice Yoke Shell, Size Small, (On sale in store for $34.93)
Ann Taylor Pencil Skirt, Size 4 (2011)

Good morning!  My husband was not happy with me today as I made him take several pictures of me in this outfit.  It is so humid here in Richmond (90% humidity this morning) and my naturally curly hair was not cooperating at all!  I’m not photogenic to begin with, so it takes a few pics to try to capture me with a natural looking smile, add the expanding hair and it took a few more shots today!

Moving on. . . I feel like this is the most tame outfit I’ve worn in a while!  I’ve just found so many fun color pieces lately, that I haven’t been able to resist.  I found this green Lattice Yoke Shell, Size Small, on my trip to Ann Taylor last week.  The top was on sale for $49.99 with an additional 30% off, so I got it for $34.93.  On line the top is currently listed for $64.99, with no additional discount, but I’m sure there will be by the end of the week!  I love the saturated color.  Green is one of my favorite colors, but I don’t have much of it in my wardrobe.  Usually when I see green tops, they are the wrong shade for me or if it is the right shade, it’s the wrong fit, so it never works out.  When I found this one, I was saying a little prayer that it would fit and it did!  I just loved the detail of the lattice and the color is gorgeous!  Some might think it’s a little boxy, but I have a big rib cage, so the small worked out fine on my frame.  The pencil skirt is also from Ann Taylor, from 2011, I believe.  I loved the zippered pockets.  It made what could have been another boring beige skirt more fun.  I accessorized with an Ann Taylor blue patent leather skinny belt (that I also found in the store last week on sale for $12), Blue and Green Cabochon necklace by Pim+Larkin, gold earrings and neutral T-strap sandals by Franco Sarto.
