Ann Taylor Summer Dot Pink Stretch Cotton Pencil Skirt, Size 2 (bought on sale for $48.99)
BCBG Tie Neck Blouse, Size Small (2012)

Once again, it’s a hot and humid day here in the RVA! Humidity is at 91%, so I needed a cool outfit, that would prevent me from breaking a sweat during the brief times I’m outside today! I already knew that I wanted to wear this Ann Taylor pink polka dot skirt. It was among my purchases in the store last week. I am meeting a friend for drinks right after work, so I wanted to wear something fun, but still professional. I think this skirt is great for both. The pink is a fun summer color and the length is great for the office. I bought the skirt in a Size 2, so it runs a little big. The 2 fits like a glove, but is not tight and is very flattering. It’s 98% cotton with 2% spandex, so it has a little stretch for movement, but not so much that it will lose its shape. The skirt was on sale for $48.99 last week ($69.99 plus 30% off). It can be found on line here, but is currently listed for $74.88 with no additional discount.
I paired the skirt with one of my favorite blouses, a BCBG Cream Tie Neck top, Size Small. You can’t tell from this picture, because I am wearing it tucked into the skirt, but the top is much longer in the back and has a really soft flowy shape to it. It’s really cute worn untucked as well. I found the top in the BCBG outlet last summer. It is very sheer, so I’m wearing a cami underneath. Because of the neckline of the blouse, I paired it with a simple gold necklace, gold earrings and a neutral Franco Sarto T-strap heel.
